Japan Manga & Culture Summer Program — Osaka, Summer 2027

The Japan Manga & Culture Summer Program (the "Program") is organized by Red Fire Capital, 35 Van Gogh Way, Coto de Caza, CA 92679, +1 949-357-3780, japanese.manga.school@gmail.com (the "Organizer"), in partnership with a Japan-based program partner and Osaka Sogo College of Design, where classes are held.
A parent or legal guardian must sign the Program Participation Agreement before the student is enrolled. If anything in these Terms conflicts with the signed Participation Agreement, the Participation Agreement controls.
The Program is for middle school and high school students ages 11–18 at the time of the Program. Parent or legal guardian consent is required.
June 13–21, 2027 (9 days / 8 nights), Osaka, Japan.
The Program fee is $3,980 USD per student if paid by January 31, 2027 (early bird) and $4,422 USD after that date. Full payment is due by May 10, 2027. Enrollment is confirmed only after full payment and the signed Participation Agreement are received. If a participant cancels: more than 30 days before the program start date — full refund minus a $300 administrative fee; 15–30 days before — 50% of the program fee is refunded; within 15 days — no refund. No refund is given after the Program begins, including if a participant is dismissed.
If the Organizer cancels due to insufficient enrollment, participants receive a full refund of all payments made to the Organizer.
If the Program is canceled or changed due to events outside the Organizer's control (such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government travel restrictions), fees are refunded minus any non-recoverable costs already paid to third parties.
The Organizer is not responsible for airfare or other travel costs.
Families book and pay for international flights, passports, visas, and travel and health insurance. Students should arrive at Kansai International Airport (KIX) on June 13, 2027 within the arrival window provided by the Organizer. The Organizer is not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, or other third-party services.
Students are supervised by program staff and must follow all staff instructions, curfews, and local laws. Alcohol, tobacco, vaping, drugs, weapons, bullying, harassment, and leaving the group without permission are prohibited. A student may be dismissed for unsafe or inappropriate behavior; the family pays all costs of early return.
Parents must disclose in writing, before the Program, all allergies, medical conditions, medications, mental health history, and behavioral issues. Program staff may arrange emergency medical treatment when needed. All medical costs are the family's responsibility. Travel and health insurance covering June 13–21, 2027 is required, with proof submitted before departure.
International travel involves inherent risks. The release of liability and indemnification terms in the signed Participation Agreement apply.
Parents choose YES or NO for photo and video use on the registration form. If no choice is made, the Organizer treats it as NO.
The schedule and activities may be adjusted due to weather, safety, or operational needs.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
